January 9, 2014 - Dark ruby colour. High alcohol feeling. Still unstable at the moment. Sweet american oak aroma was too strong at first. Many of my friends didn't like it. I recorked and took it home and drank it 2 days later. It became more stable. Lower alcohol feeling but oak aroma was still very strong. Taste of plum, red currant, mocha, chocolate. Acidity increased. Some blackberry and cherry. Overall was rather simple. OK for casual drinking with red meat.
