December 24, 2017 - Light to mid golden hue. Nose of green apple, pear and yeast. Maybe a little floral notes of honeysuckle. Taste is similar but leaning toward pear. Bright acidity and dry. Pretty good. 89-90.

October 15, 2017 - Very nice. Color of straw yellow. Tastes were good, with nice acidity and bubbles.

May 20, 2017 - A deep and intense golden color. A rich nose of toasted coconut, apple, lime, orange blossom and pie crust. This comes as no surprise, but like Brian’s other wines, this is big to the eye, nose and palate. But the wine is not one dimensional, with sufficient acidity and nuance of flavors to keep it interesting. A lovely sparkler. 12.5% alc. With halibut under walnuts and pancko as part of the continuation of our anniversary weekend. Recommended.

March 21, 2015 - My first Loring sparkler! I’ve been peppering Brian with emails of “When? When? When?” since he mentioned his intent to make sparklers in ‘08. As you would expect of a wine made by Brian, it is front loaded on the attack and is one big wine. But I’m ahead of myself. The mousse is lively, almost roiling. The bead is continuous, but the bubbles are not particularly small, but neither are they coarse, in fact, quite the contrary. As with his Chards, the color here is as you would expect: golden and brilliant. The nose is chocked full with cocoanut followed by apple, lime, orange blossom and yeast. Describing the mouthfeel, my notes read, “big,” “powerful”, and “huge.” The lime/lymon in the profile is interesting and seems to lift the wine and keeps it from being monolithic. As big as the wine is, it finishes very clean and phantasmal; there, but not on the finish. This is a wine that goes down easy, but is also a wine worthy of reflection. A pleasingly light 12.5% alc. With fried oysters. Recommended.

December 11, 2014 - Interesting initially, but somewhat tiring as there was not much here to hold interest. Perhaps just needs a year or two? Lots of acidity, some vanilla, pear and toast, but all very slight. A bit heavy.
