November 12, 2022 - Deep color. Black cherries, blackberries, licorice, chocolate and hints of leather, floral, spice, and mint in the nose and flavor. Well balanced, nice complexity, and a long finish.

December 8, 2018 - At last a Turley I like, after many disappointing ones that had too much tannin and not enough fruit or charm. Dark garnet, opaque. Powerful nose of black raspberries and blackberries, some vanillin. Very full bodied, with loads of fruit and high alcohol. Tannins are in the background. Very drinkable but should last. My last Turley...too bad that most of my others, from various of their vineyards and from multiple vintages, didn't taste like this one.

September 5, 2017 - Decanted one hour and found an absolutely delicious and robust Zinfandel with solid tannins. Wine Spectator wrong again! (I wonder how many times I've said that. Lost count long ago.)
