September 24, 2020 - Drinking great right now !! A perfect cork after 9+ years in the bootle. Consumed over two days. Fruit burst on the first day, very lively and a great complement to grilled protein and bar-b-que. On day two this balanced wine really shined; it had softened with increased depth and integrated complexity. Medium ruby color with no oxidation, clarity medium. Aromas of black cherry and blackberry. Flavors of black currant, cola, plum, and a hint of chocolate. This "California" zinfandel has a medium finish and is balanced and flavorful. This age worthy wine has more years of life left. A good winemaking effort in a challenging growing year.

November 17, 2017 - Opened and poured. Dark, thick, toasty. Decent black fruited with touch of zin bramble which to me is what it's all about. Not too too hot like the Aldo's we had the other night. Not too jammy, there's black fruits, black tea, plum, hoisin, soy notes. Sweet fruit kicks in. Slightly neutral, overall good.

October 14, 2015 - A nice spicy zin from the Biale family. Seems to have more life left in it than the drinking window suggests.

June 26, 2015 - Purple with clear rim, medium-heavy legs. Black plum, tobacco, earth/hay, alcohol and slight smoke on the nose. Plum, black cherry, espresso and vanilla palate. Medium+ body, medium tannins and acidity. Long finish. Didn't look at the alcohol, but suspect at least 14.5% and probably more.
Drinking very well now. Suggest opening at least 2 hours in advance; would benefit from decanting to blow off some of the alcohol.

May 11, 2015 - Very well balanced with a rich mouth feel and just enough acid for a clean finish. Slight herbal/eucalyptus/juniper note on nose and taste. Fruit is probably about at peak and wouldn't recommend much more aging. Good complexity.
