November 24, 2012 - This bottle seriously seeping after a winebid purchase (no seepage noted). Cork fully saturated and broke in half on opening. Still, this is superb. Roasted hazelnuts, beeswax, caramel and other tertiaries over 2 hours, This started strong, faded after five minutes, then re-emerged at the hour mark, but only about where it started. This is limping - obviously old and has been through a few wars. Notable though for its persistence. Would love to try a pristine bottle.

    October 14, 2011 - Tasted blind.

    Golden yellow.

Funky nose with mature and oxidatized bouquet of chamomile, hay, dry honey extract, dried mint, baking spice, golden apple skin and pear brûlée. Rather soft and gentile with nice persistence and depth, though not amazingly complex . Good concentration, moderate oiliness and petrol character. Guessed early to mid 90's Ramonet Chassagne Cailleret.

October 14, 2011 - Beautiful, integrated, effortless wine. Concentrated with rainwater, hints of lemon, toasted nuts, wet rock and some waxy characters. Probably won't improve and offers a lot of joy now.
