April 21, 2024 - What a tasty surprise, this wine is tasting extremely good right now !! Luscious and at peak !!
The cork was nearly perfect after over a dozen years in the bottle, easily removed. This balanced Pinot Noir was consumed over two days. Deep ruby color with minor oxidation, clarity medium. Aromas of red raspberry and pomegranate, flavors of red fruit compote, rhubarb, and marine soil with a hint of forest floor and a medium to long finish. Popped and poured, but this wine really benefited from gentle oxygen since it was much more soft and integrated on day two and had not fallen apart. Longbow is a barrel selection, a handcrafted blend by the Arista winemaking team of the favorite barrels in the cellar from across all our Russian River Valley vineyards. Great fruit made into a very balanced Pinot Noir that has thrived in the test of time. This Pinot Noir is an age worthy wine and may have more years of life left. I still have one more bottle of this vintage remaining in my cellar. I will open soon to verify my rating.

April 24, 2021 - I'm seeing old notes on here saying this is past its drinking window, but I've got to tell you, this bottle is spectacular right now. It's been immaculately cellared, so maybe that helps, but it's bright, vibrant, lively, just a hint of richness showing the age. I would never in a million years have blinded this as 2010 based on the color in the glass...it's still vibrant red with just a hint of bricking on the very rim. Seriously, don't give up hope if you have bottles of this in your cellar still -- this one was glorious for me. It's why I used to buy so much Arista.

October 19, 2017 - This wine is definitely at the end of its drinking window. No brightness left at all.

June 30, 2017 - Bright dark berries on entry. Berry flavor and pie spice throughout palate. Slight smokiness on the mid. Very bright and fruity. Good now!

June 24, 2015 - Nice plush feel on the mouth and medium ruby color. Bright cherry and raspberry fruit. Some cola mixed with plenty of earthy goodness, and then a touch of licorice in the end. Beautiful with roast chicken.

9/1/2018 Didn't notice the plushness this time, seemed a little more restrained. Maybe time to drink up my last one.
