October 13, 2023 - Single blind. More baritone with both red and black fruit and more clear tar notes as well. Palate has serious depth. Young and not yet showing it's full potential but you can see the lurking tar and florals. Upside from here, and much better than the Asili. Upside from here.

October 13, 2023 - Barbaresco vs. Barolo (Chicago, IL): Served single blind. Light, but almost crystalline red fruit on the palate. Much brighter and lifted than the Asili alongside. Relatively simple and almost a bit dilute. This felt more linear and mineral in comparison, but even then, this doesn't feel like a wine that is as long-lived as a wine bearing the name Giacosa on the label ought to be.

January 23, 2022 - Love this. Elegant, excellent acidity, pretty aromatics. This will continue to evolve and develop for sure, but I really enjoy the freshness and precision at this stage.

    January 30, 2021 - Excellent - wish I had more!

August 31, 2020 - Very nice but somewhat primary and rather too young. In fact, another bottle drunk a few years ago was more open then. No doubt this is terrific wine. Just needs a little more time to truly strut its stuff
