February 10, 2023 - Jake Palace Birthday Celebration: Special bottle brought for the birthday boy!

Golden brown in glass with fine bubbles. Oxidative tones with yellow flowers, manuka honey, hazelnuts, toffee with some sherry tones even. Mushrooms, dried flowers, toasted brioche and almond power in the palate. Still plenty alive but no need to wait any further.

  • Sean Tay Likes this wine: 93 points

February 10, 2023 - Pronounced nose intensity with notes of chrysanthemum tea, honey suckle, toast, chestnut. Medium nose intensity, Theres still bubble. Deep golden in colour.

November 13, 2022 - Dinner with Nicola Biasi (The Papies, Elizabeth St, London): One needs to like old and very vinous champagnes as this is not longer a bobbly but barring the light sparkle every now and then this is a rich, well matured and soft oxidative wine. Rich but also balanced, honeysuckle, light savory feel. Light brioche and almost a truffle edge. Special but also risky as at this age there are only good bottles not good wines. We were very lucky to have had a proper one. 92-93-94 take a pick

March 23, 2021 - Schwieriger Fall, was soll ich sagen.
