Community Tasting Notes 8

November 22, 2023 - Remembering this is a ripe but structured southern Rhone vintage... this is still a relatively light (read old school) style of CdP. In my opinion, this has benefited substantially from over a decade in the cellar. Nose raspberry, blueberry, bramble, garrigue, black olive, tobacco.roast meat, a bit violet floral. Palate deep, dark, rich, but balanced with adequate acid giving it freshness. THis is truly lovely at this point. Tons of fruit, but also secondary and tertiary notes. And, I should say - I typically don't like southern Rhone - but this is really nicely done.

May 6, 2015 - Decanted 3 hours, it was OK.

January 27, 2015 - Needs at least hour or two decant to drink at all. After two days sitting in fridge with air pumped out revisited and really came together, more typical CdP. Rating is for the second tasting two days later. Have another bottle and will leave it alone for a while...

January 17, 2015 - Took a couple of hours to open up and come together, but was nice when it did. Not as big as some CDPs.

January 12, 2014 - Good solid wine, but needs more time. Should develop nice secondary flavors given a few more years.
