  October 31, 2016 - Rich, dense, fruit forward wine. Mushroom and ripe plums on the nose. Deep blueberry pie profile on the mid palate. Finishes velvety smooth with creamy vanilla.
  
  Fantastic value at $40 and under.

  March 17, 2012 - Great nose of cassis, tobacco leaf, green pepper, plum sauce and a small floral component. The palate was more cassis and other dark berries along with plum. Tannins have rounded out a bit but are still there but it has great acidity. Should have waited a bit more before killing this last bottle. Good stuff!

  February 15, 2010 - Still a big wine. Anise, cassis, white pepper. Good balance and well integrated tannins. As other have noted the Cab Franc component stands out. Drinking very nice now but still has years ahead of it.

  December 14, 2009 - This is a very well made wine. Classic cassis, blackberry, plum and pepper with cedar on the long finish. Drinking beautifully right now.
