  August 7, 2019 - Crisp and still young, if a wee bit short. Classic notes of butter and citrus, minerals - and a rustic edge, not atypical of the producer. Could improve, certainly better on Day 2.

  December 21, 2018 - The last bottle of the 6 pack. This bottle was on the oxidized side. Not undrinkable, but not tasting as fresh as it should at 8 years old. Jadot's oxidation problems with white wines are well known. When I visited Jadot in 2014, I point blank engaged them in a conversation about it and they weren't in denial, the just passed it on to their cork source and they said that they had addressed it, by redesigning the cork (dimensions) and created a more rigorous QA process. Since it is the Christmas season, to coin a phrase, I say "Bah Humbug"

  October 17, 2015 - Citrus overlaying a very classic chardonnay base. Oaky notes are dim and in the background (which I prefer). Well balanced.

  October 16, 2014 - Taken outside, on an evening with perfectly cool dry light air, cut lemon freshness greets the nose, with ethereal yellow fruit, beeswax, gunflint minerality, and... and... something easily overlooked is there... the scent of a soft little white flower.
  A first sip delivers yellow mayapple, ripe gooseberry, viscous broken stone smokey minerality with incredible cut & length.
  Per my rating method... fruit 2.5/4, acid 3.5/4, oak about 3.0/4 (just right for this), tannins about 3.0/4 (not excessivly drying), density/persistence about 3.0/4. I'll set my overall about 3.0/4 as the acid structure overmatches the fruit a bit, altho it's purpose built for a stifling hot day, I'm sure.
