February 27, 2018 - Seemed a bit sweet but with acid , so very good with the thai soup.

December 10, 2017 - Straw yellow. Dense and voluminous nose of ripe yellow fruit (also yellow dried fruit), yellow spicy, only very light botrytis notes. On the palate recognizable advanced age, but still an intact fruit, yellow spicy, very yellow flowers and ripe yellow fruit; quite full body, adequate acidity. The wine still shows a good mineral vein; should be drunk now.

May 13, 2016 - HDH auction tasting at Tru; 5/13/2016-5/14/2016 (Chicago, IL): This has got some nice steeliness to it. A little bit of green herbs and spice on the nose, and a bit of sweet yellow fruit. The palate is quite steely and there's some really nice acidity on it, but the finish does come off a little bit hot. Quite a nice bit of yellow-white fruit as well here, and there's so much you get that tinge of sweetness.

April 7, 2014 - Lots of ripe fruit and extract. In this somewhat ripe vintage I have a preference for Kellerberg. But this is textbook Wachau Riesling. Labeled at 13%, perhaps just a hint of heat, but tasty. Still plenty of time left

(Emmerich Knoll Riesling Smaragd Loibenberg) This was lovely and drinking very well right now. Creamy and rich, as Knoll can get with lovely acidity and precision. Spicy small stone fruits and a savory element on the finish. Almost pillow-like in texture.

(Knoll Riesling Loibenberg) Reminded me of Clos St. Hune. Nose of exotic nuts, mineral, tangerine, pineapple, apricot and lavender. Really sicko nose. Great depth and concentration on the palate with waves of almost oily tropical fruits and firm acids. Ethereal lightness too. Monumental Riesling
