September 1, 2014 - Fruit-forward with loads of blueberry and blackberry, though more restrained than some PS I have seen, so I'd come down on the more elegant or restrained side of PS. The acid prompted a nice finish.

January 10, 2014 - Deep blackberry, black cherry, cola/spice, dried herbs, juicy up front but then very dry. Leaves the mouth watering. Exactly what a Petite Sirah should taste like. Nice finish, just a bit tart. Good layering. This is a well-structured wine. 90 pts.

October 16, 2012 - No detailed notes, but I was a bit disappointed with this wine. To be fair my reference point was the Show Pony, which is the Clayhouse top end PS. Allowed to decant over 3 hours, couldn't tell if it needed more or if it was never getting better. Just don't remember anything interesting about this wine.

June 15, 2012 - Pacific Pointe Wine Tasting Club - Petite Sirah Smackdown; Round 2: Purple-violet color with baked dark fruit cacao aromas. On the palate it's between light and medium-bodied with good acidity and black cherry, bittersweet chocolate flavors. Medium finish. 14.1% alcohol

April 13, 2012 - Blind Tasting Burger Reds (Our House): Single blind. Baked cherry, vanilla, cherry liqueur nose. Medium to full bodied with medium acidity. Baked strawberries and vanilla on the palate. Quite structured with medium+ tannins. Needs time. (my 3rd, group's 3rd)
