  December 9, 2016 - This red has plenty of body with noticable oak but it is very fruit forward and sweet. Also has that weird, cooked, new world wine creaminess to it.
  I like my wines crisp and clean tasting with ample acidity.

  January 10, 2014 - At a scant $11/bottle, this Petite Sirah is a really nice QPR.
  
  Softer than a typical PS, but very fruit-forward with gobs of cherry jam and blueberry, accented by black pepper, jerky and wood. The tannins are firm but fairly balanced and the finish is fairly long.
  
  A nice food wine that works quite well as a compliment to gamey or spicy meats.

  November 30, 2013 - nose: blackberry/blueberry pie with a sprinkle of nutmeg, cinnamon, and lemon zest
  
  palate: frozen blueberries, concord grape jam, and citrus. quite soft for petite syrah and surprisingly balanced for the price. tannins are reined in but still big and quite velvety, with a slight bitterness on the medium, clove-y and cinnamon stick finish
