November 4, 2023 - Super burg at early maturity. Still very fresh and tight, but with a gorgeous red fruit / five spice bouquet. Just a hint of tertiary going on, but this is fresher than many 2016s I’ve had this year. Grippy on the finish and good acidity; this will be a distance runner. Touch of brett, but not objectionable. Yum!

December 10, 2018 - Wound really, really tight on opening. Needs a few hours in the decanter, at a minimum; that helps, but it's just a young wine and nothing is going to change that except time. Very mineral, like sucking on a stone. Touch of drying oak tannins on the finish. Very elegant, and will benefit from age.
