  July 20, 2019 - Deep purple-red without any fade. Leather and smoke on the nose. Quite a soft approach in the mouth is folowed by a powerful taste of tobacco and plums, with strong tannins and acidity but all in balance. I'm sure this will improve even more over the next few years, but I'm equally sure that I will have drunk my remaining four before the peak is reached.

  June 5, 2019 - Alquier never fail, it seems. This has developed into a wonderful Faugeres, good for some years to come, but already balanced, full on the palate and with impressive length.

  September 15, 2015 - 2 years on I can confirm that the latest bottle is drinking well, suggesting that it has matured nicely and is ready drinking. Quite deep coloured, bright and peppery on the nose, with suitable length and concentration on the palate.

  October 5, 2013 - Moderately deep colour. Rather stern on the nose and palate. Some pretty fruit and iron scents. Medium weight. Firm tannins. Not sure optimum drinking dates, but I think I'd drink another bottle in two years and not keep that much longer, but I may be well off beam.
