May 20, 2021 - Has help up very well aged 20. Still some fruit - I say dried cherries and damson plums. Dried herbs (basil, parsley), old leather, tobacco and tea leaves. Some acid, pretty present tannins. Drink now, will not benefit from further aging. Paired with roast pork with vinegar and bay leaves.

April 10, 2020 - Champignons, truffe, cacao, feuilles mortes. Un vin clairement tertiaire mais déclicieux, sans creux, avec toujours une belle concentration de matière.

April 4, 2020 - Had tonight with a leftover glass of the 2015.
The 2001 is really interesting. It aged well although the cork broke on me. Slight bricking, only slight.
Nose has cedar and faint cherries, also some
baking spices. My wife picked up smoke and coffee. After 2 hours there’s a real subtle and elegant perfume going on. Dry basil and old balsamic. Velvety smooth on the palate. It’s alive and well after a couple hours. No decant. Won’t improve with more cellaring but drinks nicely now.

March 28, 2020 - Deep red, still bright red rim.
Soft ripe dark berries, lightly dusty oak spice.
Silky texture throughout to a more firm finish.
Cassis, black cherry, plums, closing with sour cherry stone zest and bite. Fine furry tannins. Still has decent structure. For one so old it really has little in the way of aged developed characters.

January 22, 2020 - Bought more than 15 years ago this wine is still has a good amount of fruit and nowhere near its decline phase. Cherries chocolate and spices...mature but still going strong
