May 22, 2011 - Soft, as would be expected from a Zin of this age. The quality of the wine shows - it is now a good food wine as well as wonderful for drinking. All the characteristics you'd expect from an old-vin Zin. Just all grown up.

June 21, 2010 - Did not decant, opened for 1 hour. Deep dark purple color, classic Zin nose. A big wine with excellent balance, nice tannins & fruit, long finish. Nothing off. Great bottle and drinking well now.

May 28, 2009 - No fruit. Not sure if it's because of the age or because it's flawed.

April 12, 2008 - Great QPR. Very jammy with lots of berries and a nice long finish.

January 13, 2008 - Drank with Bill & Kim with shrimp and prosciutto appetizer. Drunk straight out of the bottle. Surprisingly good zin especially given price point, speaks highly of both wine maker / techniques and aged vines. Moderately floral bouquet with surprising complexity and flavors of cherry, dark fruit, blueberry and blackberry and also some citrus overtones with moderate aftertaste, overall very pleasant. Could easily stand up to more cellaring even though it is an '02 and I believe decanting would further improve wine.
