August 2, 2020 - Love this expression of Pinot. Massive nose with a super forward red fruit taste. I don’t think the aging did much to change this but it has certainly held up well.

September 28, 2016 - [In same position in cellar since purchase; screw cap]. Pretty, high-tone nose with substantive dried cherry, compote and raspberry fruits on palate, good length, some overtones of underbrush with some elegance. Palate ends with a surprising sense of sweetness and deep red fruit. For me could have used a touch more acid and a touch less ripeness to add more energy on the palate... yet still much more precise than any other NZ pinots I've had. Is a crowdpleaser and can be sipped by itself or as a foil to food. This can easily go another 5 years as balance is quite good.

March 29, 2015 - About a half an hour decant, russet color in the glass with a lighter brown rim. The nose is cherry, mushrooms and earth. Lght to medium tannins and bracing acidity back the strong truffle and light cherry and raspberry fruit. Clearly more savory than fruity, an interesting example of a pinot that is I think at its peak now, drink soon if you have one in your cellar.

September 22, 2014 - My last bottle, and this drank well, although it did seem a little light (or smooth and elegant, depending on your preference). This showed lots of spice, cherry, and raspberry. I also don't see this as a long term ager if you prefer more fruit, and I'd drink by the end of 2015.
