  Taste: ok I did drink it..... very jammy and a longgg finish of black berry jam. Awfully good.

  August 3, 2017 - Drank this last night with a Prime Rib at Leatherneck Steakhouse with some of wine geek friends. it was perfectly ready and may be at it's peak. The Petite Verdot lead the way. the cab was soft and velvety and the merlot fit right into the middle. Wish I had another so I could try it again in a year... oh well, i had it for 5 years and it was worth the wait. Drink up if you have one.

  December 4, 2015 - This is a wonderful wine, but was a bit overshadowed I think by the '02 Lokoya Howell Mountain we drank earlier which was a bit 'older and wiser'. This was opened, decanted, and served right away. Just didn't quite have the depth of flavors and I don't think we gave it enough time to open up and show the best side. Still, I enjoyed it quite a bit.

  October 16, 2015 - Megamoon Part I: Napa; 10/13/2015-10/16/2015 (Napa Valley California): I really liked this. It's in a great place right now where there's some more life left, but it is just drinking very nicely. With the Ovid precision, 77.39% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19.5% Petit Verdot, 3.11% Cabernet Franc. Black fruit (blackberry, some blueberry too), great pepper, just wonderful. It really stood up to the 2012 Ovid it was drinking next to.

  March 5, 2015 - Deep, rich, but not quite as good as the other Ovid Experiments I've enjoyed in the past. Maybe it's the 17% of Petit Verdot?
