Community Tasting Notes 3

March 2, 2018 - I don't know who makes these tasting windows, because this wine is 2 or 3 years beyond the stated window and is just fine. Beautiful deep magenta, no browning. Nose of black cherry, cassis, new oak vanilla and violet with an almost incense-like intensity. Silky pallet from the syrah, yet with good and now mild tannins from the cab. Structure would seem to imply further longevity: balanced, but if you still have it in your cellar, I suggest drinking some now. Very nice with red sauced cheese ravioli, but even better with braised lamb.
    Very good wine.

December 13, 2013 - - Brick color with slow forming legs and aromas of black pepper, cherry and oak. It's balanced and has flavours of oak, black pepper and blackberry with a medium/full body. Round texture with a medium finish.

June 8, 2013 - I'm not a big Syrah fan but this is good. The Syrah over rode the cabernet but still good. A nice mild wine. Good legs.
