November 4, 2007 - Nobilo Regional Collection, East Coast. Quite nice overall. Very dark purple in color with shades of brown. Nose has a bit of earthy funk, with definite cassis and a hint of spice. Rather heavily bodied merlot, with a fairly substantial oaky base. Fruity palate of blackcurrant, plum, and spice. Smooth short finish. Excellent QPR. A wine with far more depth and elegance than expected for the price.
