July 17, 2011 - OK. Before this settled down out of bottle we were doomed for failure. Wow it a woke with a boom. What smooth tannin and great balance. Well made with great structure. This is starting to show her age so drink up. Great now and should hold for about a year and then should start its slow decline. Cola, roasted meat, wood smoke spice on the nose. A great frame hold this together well. Medium to full bodied with an ok finish. Amazingly fresh at 12 years of age. Sweet dark cherry fruit, spice and earth on the finish. This is good stuff at the village level.

April 8, 2010 - What a village. Cherries and caramel on the nose. Very structured for a burgundy, this is not a very feminine burgundy but maybe a typically Vosne style. Anyway the fruit can handle the structure and it is lovely to drink.

February 16, 2007 - Had this with Holly. Opened, filtered and decanted in the glass for 10 mins. to take the heat off. Rusty garnet color that is bricking heavily at the rim. Great nose of wet earth, cherry, almond and herbs. On the palate, this has cherry, herbs, some earth and a sweet caramel oak flavor. Everything is well integrated, and the acidity is still bright, with a firm tannic structure. Finishes for ~20 seconds with lots of cherry fruit and smooth oak. Overall, very well balanced and impressive.
