  April 5, 2015 - This was delicious and fully in its prime right now. Very dark color, but smooth, elegant fruit. One of the best Petite Syrah's I have had from California. Terrific.

  May 6, 2014 - Very impressive development. The nose is all incense--deep, draws you in. Plenty of fruit, stylish, persistent on the palate. Might still improve! Great first release.

  July 30, 2013 - Very nice. Dark and inky. Firm tannins and earthy. Drinking very nice but could use a couple of years.

  June 2, 2013 - Intriguing wine that comes at you in waves. Plenty of fruit and spice and power. Where it falls short is in shape. It sprawls. If this comes together and tightens up it will be a bona fide blockbuster; California red wine in all its glory. In the meantime, the 2010 version is more sophisticated and impressive. The 2011 and the 2012 were sold as bulk wine. The owners have high hopes for the 2013.
