November 17, 2020 - I thought this was at its best a year or two ago, but is still drinking really well from my POV, though my wife found it too bitter.

May 16, 2018 - Tuscan Bordeaux blends often demand patience, and this one has taken FOREVER to finally come around. Now starting to loosen up and show wonderful depth to its ripe, plush, plum, cherry and dark currant fruit. The pedigree of the winemaker and vineyards (Scrio, Paleo, Messorio) is becoming evident now. Unmistakably Tuscan on the nose, with pretty notes of crushed dark berries, earth and spice. Soft and caressing on the palate, with the Merlot clearly dominating. Finishes long, with polished, velvety tannins. The Syrah in the blend peeks out at the very end, providing a hint of sweet fruit that lingers on gently. Really delicious. This will undoubtedly be even better in another year or two, but unfortunately, I am down to my last few bottles from a case purchased in 2013. 91+

March 1, 2016 - Already five bottles into a case purchased back in 2013, and this is finally starting to come around. Has loosened up noticeably, now displaying much more depth and intensity - especially on the mid- and back-palates where it is almost laser-like in focus. The Merlot in the blend dominates up front, with plenty of delicious plum, black cherry and red currant fruit. The Syrah peeks out on the long, polished finish, offering pretty notes of spice and cracked pepper. Beautifully crafted and absolutely delicious. Should continue to gradually improve over the next 2-3 years. 91+
