  December 14, 2012 - - Ruby color and aromas of bell pepper. It's somewhat balanced and has flavours of leesy and dusty with a light/medium body. Satin-Like texture with a medium finish.

  May 27, 2011 - 2001 Right Bank at Wijn Antiquariaat (Amsterdam): Nice integrated tannins on the palate, subtle fruit tones, tannins in after taste. Not very impressive.

  October 27, 2010 - Nothing wrong here. Full bodied but not dumb and sweet, some pong and game, minerals and metals. In short plenty happening. I like the fruit concentration, almost durif -like with its dark dry inky fruits. The varietal is relatively easier to pick given the soft gamey fruits around the edges although the minerally tang does speak of sangiovese. No problems keeping for another 5 years.
