  December 2, 2019 - Vinturi aerated followed by a 90 min decant. Cassis dominates the nose with forest floor and cigar box notes in the background. Full bodied, smooth and velvety. Lots of black currant and blackberry with some spiciness. These continue into the medium long finish. An excellent wine and sadly my last bottle. For those few who still have bottles in their cellar, this is a mature wine and with the continued softness of the tannins suggest that it should likely be consumed within the next couple of years.

  December 6, 2018 - Vinturi aerated into decanter and let stand for 75 minutes. Deep red-black. Long slow legs, 15% alc. Dark berries, pencil shavings, cigar box nose and only minor heat. Thick and unctuous mouthfeel. Black beery and cassis dominate. Tannins soft and integrated nicely balanced. A very nice wine that's rare to find outside Raymond's tasting room.
