August 13, 2022 - One hour decant. Nearly opaque ruby magenta color. Bitter chocolate, pound cake, glazed walnut, blackberry, plum, black tea, spent coffee filter, and fresh mushroom on the nose. Smooth, dry palate. Firm, full tannins on the longish finish. Terrific complexity here. This has aged so well.

August 13, 2022 - One of many 'extra' bottles offered up by my host at the end of the night, tonight. So fresh on pnp, no hint of its age anywhere to be found. Looks and drinks almost as if it's a '15 or '16! I usually prefer these with 10+ years of age because their true Bdx qualities start to come out and shine but this bottle is still drinking as a Napa cab would. Interesting......these bottles offer by far some of the best QPR in all of Cali wine country. 93 bordering on a 94 for me.

December 20, 2021 - Great new world cab without overdoing it. Dark blue fruits. Coats the mouth. Very nice finish.
