December 20, 2018 - Bing cherry and blackberries on the nose and pallet, luscious round mouth feel. Bought at the 10th anniversary event in Walla Walla a few years back. Very pleased with the purchase. As the wine has sat we don't find it as smooth and elegant as on opening. It did need some air, but air is not its friend. Will open the second bottle soon.

June 12, 2016 - Frankie Valli at Ravinia (Ravinia Music): Dark, still has a lot of life ahead, deep brooding color, good finish

June 10, 2015 - A Mostly French Wednesday Afternooner (Rocknroller's (Kevin & Vicki's Place)): Very dark red/purple color. PNP, drank 2 glasses over an hour. I think this was the last bottle that anyone had left, but it displayed well and didn't really show any signs of fading or age. The savoury, meaty aromas and there with blackberry, cassis, and pepper. A nice wine that has always served us well. 91+pts.

May 28, 2015 - Splash decant and then consumed over the next 2 hours. Paired with grilled chicken & broccoli (great pairing!) At 12 years past vintage, I was hoping this wine was going to drink OK. I was rewarded with a lovely Syrah! Smoke, black pepper, plum and blackberry flavors came through nicely, and paired well with my meal. There was a touch of acid imbalance on the finish that became more pronounced around hour 2. Other than that minor flaw, a solid wine. Drink now-2017.
