February 22, 2024 - From MG. Still going strong after all these years, this opens up with a nose of toffee caramel, green fruits, lime. Full and round, dark, spicy and complex, grand vin in a way. Nice memory from NYC. With Niels and the Heegaard gang.

Impressive indeed. No sogns of premox whatsoever, great depth, great length, note of butter, citrus, ginger, minerals,a very layered wine, really singing. Not declinng in any way - not from this format anyway. Grand vin.

March 31, 2013 - From magnum. I've been through several bottles of this and this was the most evolved so far. Here is more of that grainy character, honeyed fruit, nuts and minerals. Nice, gentle mouthfeel, genuine wine. Lovely.

September 7, 2012 - From magnum. Youthful, medium yellow. Profound nose of ever so slightly honeyed fruit and citrus. Deep and full of richness. A wine that makse you sit back and smile. On the palate, this wine delivers a sense of seamlessness with it's silky texture. It comes across as a mix between a semi-mature Chablis and Montrachet with deep flavors of cream, citrus/lime, honeyed fruits, nuts and chalk. Truth is, of course, that it comes across as a semi-mature Ferret Pouilly-Fuissé. Wonderful nuance and detail. Brought to Jim/Ea's dinner party to enjoy with the cheeses we brought. Plenty of years left.

June 10, 2011 - From magnum. In a great spot right now. The oak has integrated well now and adds complexity to the wine. Tastes like a cross between a Chablis with its citrusy and mineral flavors and a Meursault with its nutty, honeyed flavors. Not as light and fresh as Chablis and not as heavy and fat as Meursault. Gorgeous wine. Will keep. At Johan's lake house in Lake Mohegan.
