February 22, 2017 - Not as much white pepper and earth as other vintages but a good wine. More ripe black fruit. Grippy tannins.

January 1, 2017 - I don't taste a lot of Napa Valley Malbec's, especially one that is 8 years old, however, I love it! Super smooth, well integrated, and drinking so well. Well done McKenzie Mueller.

January 26, 2016 - Much heavier and blunt than in the past. The white pepper was still there but it was a heavy black fruit wine with very big tannins. Reminded me of something from Paso Robles.

December 9, 2013 - Heavy black fruits and spices on the nose and palate. Medium acidity, a good food wine but also ok to sip. Velvety texture and smooth medium tannins. A long finish of black fruit. A few vegetal notes but not many and they appear infrequently. None of the white pepper I expect from Malbec. Tasting blind I might mistake this for a zin blend or Cali Syrah.
