April 27, 2024 - Liked this bottle much better than the previous one, seemed to have more depth and flavor, not so thin. Not as impressive as the Grand Clos of the same vintage, but very good in its way. Probably shines more brightly with food, as is often so with good Touraine Cab Franc wines.

September 30, 2023 - First of a six-pack and first opened since my 2015 note. Not sure what to say about this wine. Loved my third glass, but less so the other three. Drink cool I would say, and only drink with food. This is a dictum with Loire CF wines I keep losing track of. Drink only with food, when they shine brightly indeed.

June 2, 2023 - black fruit, fresh and note tired at all. thinner body, bright pyrazines, no oak texture. tannins fully resolved but there isn't significant tertiary development. don't know if it has the structure to last as long as the aromatics will need to go to their end

November 3, 2020 - Looks like a Bordeaux, smells like a Bordeaux and tastes like a Bordeaux. Old school burly wine but very clean winemaking. Full-bodied and good acidity. Smelled of dried leaves, some earthiness and a lovely finish. Puzzlingly it evolved into something that tasted like chocolate? Nevertheless this can more than hold its own against any Bordeaux in a much higher price range.

August 7, 2020 - Opened this at the French Ladle with a very close colleague. We had foie gras, duck confetti pasta, wagyu steak and lemon tart.
Dark purple in colour. Good intensity on the nose with ash, earth, wild violets, crushed pepper, dried herbs and tea leaves. The wine evolved over the course of the lunch; from wild exotic notes to a more well-integrated rustic old world charmer.
A good showing from a beautiful Cabernet Franc from the Loire region. The world needs more wines from quality producers which showcases the uniqueness of the terrior instead of mass produced and marketed wines.1 person found this helpful Comment
