Community Tasting Notes 6

April 13, 2020 - if you still have this, it is in a nice place now. Settled, solid aged and with rounded tannins, solid firmness of structure. This wine is maintaining a relatively young coloration with a full nose of loam and wet stone accompanied by firm wood smells reflect of what once were strong tannic notes in its youth. The fruit has faded into a full and rounded wine with delicious tastes. Not too old for young wine drinkers and not too young for old wine drinkers.

March 28, 2020 - Drink this now. If it’s a little funky, let it sit in the decanter for a couple of hours. It definitely evolved over the evening. (Was perfectly cellared for 8 years.) Taste was good out of the bottle, turned, then got better. ... it’s not an exact science, is it....

September 29, 2016 - takes a long time to open up. Suggest decanting.

October 22, 2013 - Decanted for 45 minutes and it was perfect. Incredibly smooth, some earthy tones, with some strong berry notes. Really delicious right now, but would be great for years to come.
