  December 7, 2018 - What was interesting is the Rabelais held up extraordinarily well at the end of the flight tonight as well. This was unexpected given the Napa powerhouses.

  August 11, 2018 - A lovely wine. Pnp Dusty clean chalk on the nose and a firm rich body that is nicely integrated and yet still powerful.
  
  I think this is at its prime - It still has backbone although I think the acidity is starting to increase a touch. Dryness in the mid palate through the finish.

  March 2, 2018 - Eighth red wine at our annual DMV South African wine tasting. Medium ruby red in appearance with garnet edges. Layered nose with notes of vanilla, cassis, light chalky notes and dark berries. A touch of very light purple flowers on the back end of the nose. Heavy tannins (7/10) and full bodied. Lovely and integrated palate with blackberries, spices, earthiness and dark rocks. A touch of dryness in the long and lingering finish. Drink till 2027.
