Up front acid and alcohol nose/palate with an average Cote de Beaune style off center underpinning of simple tannin. Still unintegrated at this mature date. Low QPR.

January 6, 2021 - Way better than the last bottle I had. But this is my last.

May 9, 2018 - Came in #7 in tasting of 7 2010 pinots. Way overmanipulated was the consensus.

September 27, 2017 - This rich and modern Pinot has aged wonderfully - adding layers, gaining lightness - and it seems to be at its peak. Light garnet in color, full in body, nose of sour cherry, baking spices, and dirt road. Tastes of cranberry, licorice, eucalyptus, and rosemary, with a lifted and lingering finish. 14.5% alcohol. Drink now.

I've had mixed experiences with Morlet's Pinots with age, but this bottle was quite charming: complex, ripe, and graceful. I don't think there's much need for a decant, and the wine actually lost steam at about the three-hour mark (getting more chalky, jumpy, and plummy). I'd open sooner rather than later, though it is quite lovely now.

June 4, 2016 - Again with a long decant a Most excellent albeit pricey Pinot...smooth and very tasty accompanied with chicken
