    October 27, 2019 - Delicious.
Plenty of fresh fruit and nice crunchy acidity that rolls in to toasty oak notes.
Very enjoyable and will go a while longer but in a very good place right now

August 12, 2018 - That was a pleasure. Still plenty of tannins in this. Best with food. Clear Rivera palate: Rioja + smokiness. Mmmmm.

June 24, 2018 - Just a little disappointed. Perfectly pleasant, refined, but not distinguished, and have found far better in the cellar. Feels like it should be drunk up.

May 31, 2018 - I've argued before that if the vintage is good (in this case, 2009, outstanding), then a Crianza presents as much if not more value for money than a Reserva or Gran Reserva. You get less oak for a much lower price, and the vintage quality ensures that grapes were good across the board, so there's no significant hierarchy of quality across the range. This Crianza is an excellent example of this. It's still young, at nine years, and it's an absolutely cracking bottle. Superb aromas of crunchy, plummy, jammy fruit, classic Ribera leather, and such structure! Such deliciously firm and assertive tannins! This is really exciting. It's tannic but not drying - the firmness is offset by sweetness and then a fabulously expressive finish of impressive peppery spiciness. An excellent wine. This will last another ten years no problem.
