Community Tasting Notes 8

March 8, 2014 - This one is a crowd pleaser, in a good way! Ripe and warm fruit on the nose, medium+ body, with well handled oak, smooth medium tannins and supporting acidity. Went well with food. A little heat vanished after one hour. Really pleasing stuff, will consider buying more!

December 20, 2013 - Have reviewed this wine before with notes. Still has many years left.

December 6, 2013 - A year too early - decanted briefly before drinking. Overall a good wine.

August 29, 2013 - Pulled a bottle last year that impressed me and this did the same. Very big and dark merlot with notes of vanilla, cinnamon, oak, dark cherry, plum and a touch of alcohol. A little lighter but smoother oak than a year ago with more spiciness. The wine goes down well and can taste everything from the nose. The alcohol taste is gone and the wine goes down well with some tannins, but smooth as silk. Need to hold the other bottles.

January 22, 2013 - Showing its oak, not quite integrated, needing just a touch of time.
