August 4, 2023 - Concerned when I took the foil off as the top of the cork was stained, then split when I tried to remove it. Looks to be some seepage but the wine wasn't overly compromised. Still deep ruby, medium + aromas, black fruit (blackberry, blackcurrant) on the nose with forest floor. Good mouthfeel with pronounced black fruit, black pepper notes, gamey, savoury, medium tannins, medium + body, long finish. Very good, drink up..I have one bottle left and that will be in the decanter before the week is out!

June 26, 2020 - Oh wow, great dark purple with a hint garnet rim. Fresh, vibrant nose, tobacco, roses, plums, leather, lifted spices. Savoury wet earth and mushroom and indonesian spices, orange peel leather. Layered transparence, yet concentration. Tea leaf, oyster sauce, mocha, juicy clean. Long lingering eucalypt and mint. glows in the glass without ponderance. Ash and late plums. In a great place now. Great with jamaican goat curry.

June 5, 2020 - Super sophisticated Barossa Shiraz.
Great red and dark fruit blend. Just a hint of acidity but still a lovely mouthfeel....last of the breed!

September 6, 2017 - Flowers and tea on the nose continuing on the palate with blackberry and cherry on a smooth and focused finish. I cant imagine it will get any better.

March 17, 2013 - Nice dark fruit, tea, and spice. Clean and fresh but a little thin - other high-end '05 Kilikanoons are much more impressive
