Community Tasting Notes 2

April 8, 2013 - This is all fruity carbonic on the nose, all yeasty nutty-finishing on the palate, and very delicious in its light texture.

March 13, 2012 - Though a Syrah/Grenache/Carignan blend it's the Syrah that stands out on the nose, with emphasis on the floral, lily-like aspects of Syrah rather than the meaty, olive-like characteristics. There's a touch of (good) funk, too. I find the aromas seductive. On the palate it almost seems sweet and fruit flavors come to the fore. Good acidity; the indicated 13.5% alc. is almost invisible. Lovely, and there's more than enough depth to give me something to think about with each taste. Really hits the spot for me.

N.B.: Turned all hazelnutty with oxidation on day 2 (no sulphur).
