April 19, 2020 - Yeah, so much for being good through 2012... it is April of 2020, we are drinking the good stuff like it is end of days and this bad boy has easily 2-4 years left in it. Good thing I have another bottle...

June 11, 2012 - Decanted at Capital Grille and allowed to sit for about an hour before drinkng with an occaisional swirl. I can't believe this is getting BIGGER! This was a huge Cab that was really not welcome with the steaks but the big flavor of the meat tamed it enough to drink it. Sweet and tasty, but I wouldn't have selected it for food had I thought it would still be that big. It would make a great sipping wine or aperitif more than a food wine at this time.

May 8, 2011 - Amazing wine that is drinking very well right now and I probably would not wait past another 2 yrs to consume as it will probably start to fall off. Had this for Mother's day with a bone-in ribeye and flemings potatoes and everyone raved! The nose was intoxicating and the dark fruit was just as chewy and black as I had remembered it from the 1st bottle I had 5-6 yrs ago. Nicely integrated tannins. Drinkly like a french bordeaux. Awesome goodness in a bottle.

April 8, 2011 - Ripe fruits, dark cigar box and a pleasant edge of burnt, bitter cocoa on the finish. A little bit gamy with some leather notes. Dark, inky purple with some very minor bricking showing at the edges. As it goes on, hints of cherry cola and more cigar box. Finish lasts forever.Ran it through an aerator for the first glass. Maybe the most pretentious tasting note I've ever written.
