  December 23, 2021 - When first opened, this tasted off. I almost pitched the whole bottle. I came back to it an hour later and it was quite nice.

  January 2, 2021 - PnP and let site for a few minutes before sampling. Color is quite purple-red at the center fading through ruby red to a noticeable band of orange at the edge. Gentle aroma of tart cherry, orange, a bit of menthol and warm VA. On the palate red fruit, bright acid, integrated tannin with some warmth on the finish. On its own before dinner this is quite good with a bit of a linear middle. Drinking with Hoppin John and Collards over rice with cornbread. The Hoppin John has some seasoned pork belly and Toulouse sausage. Some Tabasco was applied when served. The wine goes quite well with dinner. The wine occasionally bangs against some of the pepper. Still quite good as we finish dinner. Drank through consistently well to the end of the bottle.

  May 22, 2020 - The wine is good but I ws hoping for more. Aged Sangiovese flavors in a medium body wine with a dry tannin finish.

  March 15, 2020 - I had this wine in March 2020 and it was delicious. Tertiary aromas with mature earthy and mineral flavors. Drink it soon...
