    February 26, 2019 - Last bottle.
This one was in excellent condition ( unlike the last one). The cork was in great shape and the wine was opened around 56 F.
After warming up a little, the ridiculous level of complexity for a wine in this price range became apparent. The tannins are largely dissolved but a good acidity level keeps the wine bright. The full Ripasso spectrum is there: cherry notes, spices, great texture. 24 year old bottle, originally priced at $ 15! Where do you find that today?
It could have aged another couple of years, but it will not improve.

November 3, 2017 - Rød med litt brunskjær. Lukter av godt modne plommer og kirsebær. Smaker av mørke bær, dominert av søte kirsebær. Fyldig. Lett søtlig. God syre. Lang. Ingen merkbare tanniner.

October 11, 2017 - This must be one of the greatest red wine values in the World. I have been drinking this wine for 4 decades now and never a disappointment.
The 1995 is clearly showing its age, but in the most graceful manner possible: red brick color, excellent clarity, intense and complex aromatics dominated by ripe prunes, plums, cherries and an array of spices.
The aromatics alone would carry this wine, but the palate doesn't disappoint: the tannins have softened but the balance is exquisite and the finish lingering. Enjoy over the next 2-3 years

September 26, 2015 - På flaskens hals står det "Recorcked and checked juni 2013".

September 28, 2014 - Waxed cork. Relatively light red purple color with a hint of brown. Gentel smell of fresh berries, with a small hint of moss.

Good acidity. Very long and good taste. Fresh and ligh, but still filling the mouth. The tannins are well Integrated, barely noticeable. Drunk to chicken with coritso sausage. To much spice in the food for the wine. Incredibly good wine to drink alone, without food.

[NOR] Vokset kork. Rød lilla farge. Relativt lys.
