October 16, 2011 - Drank from a magnum. I am a Five Star fan and I must say I was a bit disapointed and maybe my expectations were too high. Nice wine and all, but I felt it lacked complexity and really didn't seem to benefit with the age even in the magnum.

June 5, 2011 - Had this from a double magnum. Still showing a lot of the cream, vanilla, and cedar notes imparted from new oak, along with characteristic "fruits of the forest". Not my favorite style, but I can see why it would appeal to a lot of palates, and it made for a nice party
