  • cweiss Likes this wine:

November 8, 2021 - Drinking well but no hurry at all. Excellent acidity, of course, from Texier, but nothing screechy and overall very good balance. Good depth of typical northern Rhone Syrah flavors, if not lots of nuance. It went well with slow roasted boneless pork ribs with a dry rub, and more important it gained spousal approval.

January 1, 2020 - Pnp, the rest in a decanter for the evening. Leaning towards red fruits, tart cherries, raspberries, bacon. Fresh, waited for the fruit to come more forward with air, but it stayed much the same during the evening. Smooth tannins. Great value, honest wine.

July 23, 2019 - Very delicious with a kaleidoscopic nose of blackberries, smoke, bacon and some asphalt. On the palate it is energetic and lifted and long -- a lively mid-weight wine perfect for summer drinking. 12%abv

May 4, 2019 - My first taste of these, and a positive impression. Plenty of structure still, but drinking well with confit chicken leg. The leftover in the decanter the next day confirmed my impression that it has time of ahead of it. Not the perfume or complexity of a fine Cote-Rotie but honest and substantial Northern Rhone Syrah character.

January 19, 2018 - Deep, blood red; vibrant, lively dark fruits, peppery; lithe, refreshing acidity, lean, mid-weight; vivacious finish. Probably best drunk soon. I expected this to deliver more.
