    March 11, 2024 - First thing first.
Even as I was pouring the wine from the bottle into the decanter, I smelled aromas of blueberries and blackberries. Second thing - I've never seen so much sediment before as in this bottle, whether it's good or bad, we'll soon find out.
    An hour in the decanter
    🕙
Very interesting wine. Very rich, on the one side heavy and on the second one light. Both smell and taste.
Heavy aromas - barbecue meat, prune, blackberry, leather, smoke ( 10 thousand pounds)
Light one - blueberry, forest, minerals and a lot of fragrances.
The taste is about the same.
10000 pounds of black fruits including prune, but also minerals, mint(?), herbs. Long finish with spice. Perfect acidity and tannins.
I would say it's "intellectual" wine, where you can split hairs and debate about the impact of the dark side of the moon on snow in Sahara 😃

2010 in North Rhone got 97 points according to the WA Vintage Guide.
Extraordinary. Still tannic, youthful or slow to mature.

February 1, 2024 - Deep saturated dark red in color. Dominant aromas of dark licorice, reddish black berries, dried meats, hint of violets, pepper and earth. A structured palate follows through with savory dark berries, peppered and cured meats, medium acidity, firm tannins and an earthy finish.

March 12, 2023 - March Rhônes (Chicago, IL): St. Joseph is the most marginal of the four great terroirs in the Northern Rhone, so dumping a bunch of oak on it does it no favours. Bitter toasted oak dominates anything syrah-related here. A real waste.

November 13, 2022 - Jamet Côte-Rôtie and Other Northern Rhône with Steak (Jordan's Place): Lots of powerful fruit and good spice, just much more firm and tannic than I'd consider ideal at this age from such a well balanced vintage.

July 15, 2022 - Syrah & Beef Ribs $60+ Blind Tasting (Bin 75 Alpharetta, GA): Cloudy core with reddish crimson rim; sandy, meaty, good but not great, at a good spot in its development, nice complexity but lacks some depth.
