April 19, 2013 - France 2013 – Northern Rhone; 4/17/2013-4/19/2013 (Ampuis): No formal notes. Drank out of a Burgundy glass which didn’t do this Cote Rotie any favours. The alcohol became more pronounced although once you got past that the wine was quite good, but not as good as the bottle was tried at the Domaine. Very good. 88+

April 18, 2013 - France 2013 – Northern Rhone; 4/17/2013-4/19/2013 (Ampuis): Tasted at the Domaine. Pure notes of violets, floral and darker fruits. Silky and lighter on the palate with drying tannins and pleasant acidity. No traces of wood. Fairly approachable but could use a few years. Very good. 89+
