April 4, 2023 - This bottle aged very well. In the glass, this wine looked like an old vintage pinot noir. In the nose, violet and fantastic spicy pepper bouquets came. In the palate, it tasted like a Spaetburgunder from Germany or Austria. Quite well performing rouge from Jura.

November 10, 2020 - Last bottle mirrors our note from 3 years ago, delicious and fun, a bit rustic, with none of poulsard's occasional diluteness. Enjoyed with orange mustard chicken thighs.

August 13, 2019 - I love this; it was buried in my cellar, Ive had it still for at least five years. Crazy orange pink color, transluscent light body, truly beguiling nose of charred tomato, allspice, mace, buttercrunch toffee, cinnamon donut, persimmon. Delicate, yet intense and long. Lots of medicinal cherry, sandy loam, and dried strawberries. Not a lot of structure, but the gorgeous acidity provides class. A mildly sweet sexy finish, like rose petals in acacia honey water. Keep your pairing simple; it worked great with Israeli couscous, toasted walnut pesto, charred tomatoes, and a couple of pan seared scallops. Really a unique wine, but reminds me of quality Echezeaux.

January 31, 2017 - Slightly orangy pink. Rustic fresh brambleberry nose. The palate begins with a blast of tart underripe red stone fruit, a little game and dirt, and finishes savory with a little pucker. Although generally gulpable, this almost qualifies as intense for a poulsard. Enjoyed with gruyere crepe stack.

March 30, 2016 - This was dead. Color of rusty water. Only a bitter note left.
