Community Tasting Notes 19

August 4, 2019 - Amber colour, perhaps showing signs of oxidisation.
Traces of tropical fruit on nose although predominantly caramel toffee with pronounced nuttiness on palate - further indications of oxidisation?
Pleasant acidity on a longish finish.

January 26, 2019 - A bit past its peak, becoming two dimensional.
Should drink up the remaining two.

October 7, 2018 - On the nose, quite mineral, quite some sensation of oyster shell and stony fruits, on the palate, more tropical fruits and light honey, quite enjoyable. However, the wine is lack of the complexity, the finish is a bit short. In terms of grape, the grapes are typically Macabeo 40%, Grenache Blanc 30%, Carignan Blanc 5%, Grenache Gris 10%, Chardonnay 15%. 65% in older oak foudres, 35% in the tank.

January 13, 2018 - This bottle showing well.
40% Macabeu, 30% Grenache blanc, 15%Chardonnay, 10% Grenache gris, 5% Carignan blanc blend perhaps explains the lovely complexity & richness?

    September 17, 2017 - Wine Night Sept 2017

    In a blind flight of 2010, 2014, 2011

Nose: Hay. Could have mistaken this for Chenin
Palatte: off dry, incredibly bitter finish.

    Very developed

This one is oxidised which is consistent with previous notes of this

(others in the flight were much fresher)
