August 23, 2023 - An absolute gem! A beautiful dark amber colour. Reformed in 2014 and released from the Chateau in 2019. After just over an hour open, the wine took on notes of honeysuckle, melon, green apple and subtle tones of honey. Long on the finish. Bold but not too sweet. Drinking absolutely perfectly and for many more years to come!

June 1, 2019 - Old wine start but still fresh with a very long finish. Amber in color. Second glass improved markedly over the first.

February 22, 2019 - Darkened color. Funky nose of orange blossom and shoe polish. The nose and palate kept changing. Mature and very minerally with flavors of orange zest, caramel, sherry and copper minerals. Very interesting wine.

February 20, 2019 - An evening of vinous gems (Benoit): Fresh and vibrant. Spicy notes with orange marmalade. Sherry notes. A slight metallic finish.

June 26, 2013 - Legendary Château D'Yquem Tasting * 1893 - 1983 * (Old Swiss House, Lucerne, Switzerland): Amber colour. Malty, raisin and Vermouthy nose. Quite a bit of acidity with hints of sweetness. All a bit short. Other people liked the wine much more and scored in the low 90s. So defenitely I wine that does not fit everyones taste. For me this wine was past its prime for quite a few years and should be drunk.
