August 18, 2023 - Golden yellow in colour. Remarkably cool and mineral on the nose, lots of depth, notes of yellow stone fruit, herbs, white pepper. Very fine and elegant. On the palate great acidity, again very mineral, powerful with good weight. Very long with a nice streak of minerality to the finish. Drink or keep. 93-95

June 21, 2021 - I was asked to bring a white wine to go with a grilled hot dog party, but I was the only one drinking wine. Some elements of Sauvignon Blanc and some of Reisling, but a little sweet and green-grapey for my tastes. Pleasant, though, and with some complexity.

July 2, 2020 - On opening, signature Knoll aldehydic notes of sharpie marker/wet paint, with some grassy terpenes in the background. Mostly secondary notes here with the primary fruit somewhat buried. There is some varietal Gruner spice, classic white pepper and a little white peach. Big extract on the palate, very weighty and a bit jangly... lacks elegance overall, on the syrupy side. Don’t see the upside in ageing this further.

March 10, 2018 - Very nice. Fruity, which in this case means peas and pepper as well as melon. Also a grapey note, which in the context is a pleasant component rather than the dis that it might often be. Plenty of acidity. Drinking well now but was also fine after a couple of days open in the fridge. A nice match with broccoli soup and then chicken sausages with sauerkraut.

Z.Zt. leider etwas verschlossen! 91+++P
